At iTeach , we love finding ways to enable schools to share great practice and provide opportunities for schools to work together and provide wonderful experiences for their pupils.
Working all across Northern Ireland and Scotland with thousands of schools gave us a simple idea – partnering schools of a similar type, background and iPad roll out that could enable collaboration for teaching staff and pupils.
So, we created our ‘Connect’ programme:
Every term we take 4 staff from Scotland and 4 from NI and fly them to the respective areas. We create a day full of sharing great practice, visiting the partner schools and engaging in meaningful projects to work on together.
- Commitment from your school – two days cover per staff member for the chosen term
- Support from iTeach – we will cover expenses, airfare, travel, scheduling and planning
We’ve created super pupil programmes that work across the curriculum but have a central Literacy focus. We partner like minded schools and create a blogging platform for a shared, collaborative literacy project across a 6 week period. Schools will have the opportunity to build links and work together on a central project via blogging and Facetime. For one very lucky school per year, we will fund a visit to the partner school.* Suitable for ages Primary schools and KS3/S1/S2/S3
- Commitment from your school – agreement of Principal/Headteacher, willingness to provide one hour per week over 6 weeks of class time.
- Support from iTeach – we’ll match the schools, provide resources and technical platforms and of course the learning and teaching focus.
The Application process is simple – simply complete the form below with the few details required. Applications run on a monthly cycle – apply by the 30th of each month and hear by the 30th of the following month. We’ll do our best to match schools and accommodate as many applicants as we can.
